Following a distinguished 20 year career in the Public Sector across all of the largest service delivery Department’s, Susan now heads up the Technology Solutions Group responsible for Architecture, Infrastructure, Applications, Applications Development, IT Procurement and Web Accessibility.

Susan has a strong track record, and interest in, Business Transformation which strategically supports DEEWR’s emerging and growing role as a Lead Agency in the provision of various services in a Whole of Government context.

In her address, Susan will touch on all of these topics, provide an update on DEEWR’s current plans as well as shed some light on the exciting and challenging future role DEEWR will serve in the Whole of Government space.

Susan will also touch on many of the overall challenges facing Government today including efforts to encourage more women in ICT.

Today I delivered a presentation about open cloud standards, what they are, and why they matter.

We have also announced that we are launching our OpenStack Compute API for our cloud compute service. This makes Cloud Central the first provider in Australia to implement an open cloud standard, and also the first OpenStack API compatible cloud in Australia!
